Louis is 6 years old and lives in a rural area with his parents. His father is a peasant farmer and is dependent on seasonal rain for his livelihood. His mother is at home caring for the family. Louis and his family are part of the Gueni River Area Development project in Chad. |

8 years old and lives with her parents in a rural area of Nicaragua. Her
father is a subsistence farmer, in good years barely raising enough food
for his own family. Her mother stays at home caring for her family and
helping her husband.
